On Wednesday the Parrs are returning to where the fun began. The Parrs were known as the wedded team of “Fun Finders” selected by Rand McNally and USA Today to go in search of the town with the best food in the nation. At the end of July, they chose us.

The house fire on Vermilion Street last year left a huge, empty lot. (Thankfully, no human or pet lost their lives.) It is now the spot for a new farmer’s market for Lafayette, called the Freetown Mid-Week Farmer’s Market. Located across the street from Taco Sisters, last Wednesday was its launch.
While it's tough for most new businesses, restaurants happen to thrive particularly well in Lafayette. Judging by the scores of hot and decaffeinated throngs at Carpe Diem! Gelato-Espresso shop the past two weeks, this shop is one more success.
