The Independent Weekly’s fourth annual Big Hair ‘Do Ball and Benefit is moving this year to a Friday night at Acadiana Center for the Arts, downtown Lafayette’s most exciting new theater. Come with your own fantasy hair style or get your hair styled that night at one of the salon kiosks. You could win the award for Tallest Hair, Wildest Style, Best Group or Best Do’ Award.
VIP tickets are $75 and include a sneak preview party and reserved seating. General admission tickets are $45 and include nibbles from some of Lafayette’s great restaurants. There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
