P.J. Naomi's 'Amazing Graces'

Written by Krista Richmond

Jewelry designer P.J. Naomi takes inspiration from Acadiana Outreach Center’s Three Graces program to create Wednesday night’s top auction item.

PaulsJewelryPalates and Pâté is known for bringing artists and chefs together, but the artistry displayed during the live auction goes beyond paintings.

One of the featured items at the fundraiser for the Acadiana Outreach Center will be a custom jewelry piece designed by P.J. Naomi of Paul’s Jewelry. So get ready to bid for a good cause, as the event is tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Cajundome Convention Center.

“It’s taking [the Acadiana Outreach Center’s] vision and putting it in a jewelry format,” Naomi says. “That’s the fun part.”

This is the 10th piece Naomi has had a hand in creating for Palates and Pâté, and it includes 5.2 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds set in 18k and 14k white gold.

Read The Independent Weekly tomorrow for more on the amazing piece, which graces the cover of LivingIND.

Who gets a cut in the fundraising events? Check out the finacials which are public documents. Who has a trademark on the name? Also public documents. How are charges for the costs of the major gala event written off? Cuts would come after expenses, wouldn't they? How is that $1M in two years garage sale "Tossed and Found" doing? Who gets the nice salaries tagged at each "sober living" house where no counselors/monitors are paid to live? Have you seen the latest audit and corrections that had to be made? Gaining control over a major apartment complex like Joie de Vie to house their "clients" (jail alternative living with no security) 15 years down the road??? Can't be good for downtown! Did Latter & Blum actually ever manage the other LIHTC (see LHA articles) housing like is suggested for downtown?
