On Wednesday Dec. 4, James Beard award-winning chef John Besh will be in town at Barnes & Noble as part of a book signing tour to promote his latest cookbook, Cooking from the Heart. Besh is also the author of best-selling cookbook My Family Table and My New Orleans.
Cooking from the Heart contains recipes that share a reflection of what helped shape Besh into the chef he is today — from world travels to lessons from some of his mentors, the pages are full of food and stories that tell about why Besh has a passion for food.
The recipes in the book also contain regional substitutions to help make upscale farm-to-table meals easy to adapt for any at-home chef. Like Besh’s previous cookbooks, There’s more to love than just the recipes — the photography and personal narrative makes the book a warm and engaging read.
