Step back in time the moment you step through the doors of Café Vermilionville — the iconic building is rich in history and also famous for a cozy bar and courtyard for relaxed conversation and cocktails. But what’s really special is the EatLafayette prix fixe menu Café V designed to treat guests.

For $28, you can get a four course meal complete with soup, salad, an entrée and dessert. Today’s dish of the day is the seared duck and can be found on this limited time menu.

The Café V kitchen starts with a Maple Leaf Farms duck breast prepared with foie gras and a chickpea fritter topped with black olive caramel, oven-roasted tomatoes and a sprout salad. The earthy flavors of the olives and chickpeas compliment the robust duck to satisfy any game-lovers palate.

Two other entrée options from the prix fixe menu include macadamia-crusted scallops and a pan-seared rainbow trout and the desserts are equally stellar — the big decision is whether you’ll opt for the white chocolate bread pudding or the key lime pie.

Make your Friday evening memorable with friends at Café V as you end the first week of EatLafayette.
