There is a climate of extremes in all things these days, it seems. And home decor is no different. Just as palettes of calming neutrals (grey, grey, grey) take their place and spa blue is ushered out, a bold approach arrives. (And for some it never left).

Larayn Guidroz of Swags and Tassels says she's seeing the far ends of the spectrum with her clients. With some swathing rooms in entirely neutral pieces of grey and others combining the brightest of shades and funkiest of prints in one room.

"They are embracing bold colors," she says.

It was with Larayn's comment in mind that we were intrigued by the interior's of Diane Von Furstenberg's home featured in Architectural Digest. The Manhattan penthouse of the designer's headquarters is a study in daring and eclectic design. (We'd expect nothing less from a fearlessly innovative designer.)

Larayn gave us a sneak peek at the fabrics she's combining in a client's home and we can't help but envision someone with fearless taste. Just the sort of thing we love at IND Style. Tribal prints, peacock (both the rich blue hue and the animal) and vibrant animal prints are hot for home in small doses or in big ways for a bold approach.
