IND Monthly brought together style in a celebration the likes of which Lafayette had never seen.
At the Acadiana Center for the Arts on Wednesday, Sept. 19, IND Monthly brought together style in a celebration the likes of which Lafayette had never seen. We really did. If you find us IND Style folks to be a bit dramatic, you must have missed the show. The event included seven fashion-forward IND Style Award honorees, dozens of models from local boutiques wearing fall's best, one seriously dramatic big hair finale and too many well dressed style mavens in the crowd to name.
We could talk all day about what everyone was wearing (like Crystall Coroy in that sweet custom vintage dress from Sky Blue), but since a picture is a worth a thousand words, we'll let Travis Gauthier's images do the talking. Click here for the gallery.
David Calhoun and Elizabeth “EB” Brooks are the first two employees of Lafayette Central Park Inc., the nonprofit charged with turning Lafayette Consolidated Government’s 100-acre Johnston Street Horse Farm property into a passive public park. Calhoun was named executive director, and Brooks is director of planning and design.
There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
