We saw a lot (and I mean a lot) of fashion during the two New Orleans fashion weeks. The big finale was Anthony Ryan himself — Louisiana native and winner of Project Runway All Stars — and this IND Styler truly didn't know what to expect.

What we saw were a bevy of models in NOLA Fashion Week's last show at the Shops at Canal (some models of the traditional variety and others of the unexpected … just check the gallery below) swathed in electric prints with a nod sometimes to the 80s and others perhaps a bit 90s. The first look to hit the runway — uber shorty shorts and a cropped top in a graphic print with wilder than wild hair and a clear visor. Some models had a smear of neon on the lip that matched their visor trim and all walked in a way we didn't see on any other catwalk that weekend — super duper fierce, sometimes nonchalant and it felt like always authentic.

The show wrapped with something closer to a soul train than the typical demure hand clapping that most shows end with. The models broke it down to Nicki Minaj's "What You Know Bout Me?" before Ryan himself made his bow.
