There was a time when spikes and the like were nothing but biker. But, we're finding the most demure (or at least semi-demure) style mavens donning a spike or two.
And we're seeing them everywhere from shoes and belts to boots and clutches. A simple spiky bracelet has the power to transform an otherwise tame look into something with unmistakable edge. (Just the sort of transformation we love over at IND style.)
Spikes are all in the details. We love the detail of spikes on these boots from Herringstone's. Wear them with a flirty floral something for a great contrast or go with a rocker vibe and pair with a fearless mini. Over at Vanessa V. there are several spike-decked bracelets we're loving. And a pair of neutral flats with a spike-covered toe.
Vertigo has an amazing bag with spike details and some leather wrap bracelets that boast spikes. We would wear them with waxed denim, boho skirts and slim blazers to take an everyday look in a brave new direction. Making it brave and new is what it's all about.

There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
