The dashingly dressed dudes (and ladies) of F. Camalo will have even more sharp dressed options come Wednesday during a trunk show that includes three of the store's best brands – Canali, Mel Gambert and Michael Toschi.
Canali will show their signature suits that combine creative flair and elegance with a vision that "embraces impeccable tailoring, fine styling, the quest for ever newer designs and for prestigious fabrics and yarns, and a firm belief in the value of innovation," according to Canali's website.
Mel Gambert Custom Shirt Makers is the place where shirt makers have their shirts made. The perfect option for the seriously discerning sartorialist. And Michael Toschi shoes bring the look all together with lux materials and sharp design.
In addition to the fine threads, Camalo will offer antipasti and vino to their guests. The trunk show at the Oil Center store is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 24. (And bonus: when you buy a Canali suit, you get a free tie.)
There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
Philip deMahy Sr., a once respected New Iberia ad exec, was sentenced May 2 to spend the next two years (he faced up to 100 years) in a state penitentiary after state and federal investigators found dozens of images depicting children engaged in lewd sexual acts on his personal computer.
