This year’s show will feature more vendors than ever and fill the entire Cajundome Convention Center with everything for planning the perfect wedding, including photography, videography, attire, flowers, transportation, travel, accessories, wedding cakes, catering, venues and the newly-popular photo-booths. “A bride can literally book her entire wedding in one afternoon,” says show director Robin Hebert. “We hope to take the stress out of the planning so the bride and groom can enjoy their first day as husband and wife.”
Acadiana Mazda is the presenting sponsor of this year’s show. Its exhibit will feature a traditional bride’s bouquet toss, backwards over the shoulder aiming for the sunroof of a 2011 Mazda, for the chance to win one of five fabulous trips. “Winners will have their choice of destinations from Cancun, Las Vegas or a Caribbean cruise,” says General Manager Mickey Comboy, who will open a new Mazda showroom in early April on Evangeline Thruway across from Lafayette Regional Airport.
Paul’s Jewelry returns as the grand prize give-away sponsor. One lucky bride will win an 18” Mikimoto pearl necklace and earrings plus four sets of stud earrings for the bridesmaids, a $4,500 value and stunning addition to any bride’s trousseau. A three-tier bride’s cake from Sweet Southern Ladies rounds out the grand prize drawings, valued at $1,800. In addition to door prize give-aways from dozens of vendors throughout the day, two runway fashion shows will feature fashions from David’s Bridal, Al’s Formal Wear and Squire’s Tuxedo.
