The UL Lafayette Lady Cajuns softball team, fresh off of a 53-6 season that came just one tourney shy of a trip to the College World Series, will be featured on KADN in a 30-minute special set to air again on Sunday (its first broadcast was Wednesday) and a third time on July 1.
“Softball Cajun Proud” will recap the ultimate highs of the 2012 Lady Cajuns season, which included the team’s first regional hosting since 2002, an SBC title and a No. 9 national ranking in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll.
The team opened its season with a record 28 wins, with three Lady Cajuns landing themselves on the NFSA/All America Team.
The KADN special will air at 9 p.m. both Sunday and July 1. Direct TV and Dish viewers can tune in on channel 15; Cox Cable customers may watch on channel 6.
Frank’s Casing Crew, now doing business as Frank’s International, will make its final appearance on ABiz’s list of the Top 50 Privately Held Companies in Acadiana this year, and once again it will likely be at the top with more than $1 billion in annual revenues. The 75-year-old company specializing in tubular fabrication and installation services to the oil and gas industry plans to offer shares of its stock to the public for the first time.
