Brees had asked for help coming up with a “B” name for his second son; Baylen is his firstborn. Within days of the request, initially made on Twitter, and picked up by news organizations around the world, he had received 3,000 responses, which climbed to over 6,000 by the time Bowen was born.
Click here for a video of Brees, charming as usual, talking about the overwhelming response.

There will soon be a whole lot of shakin’ going on at Benny’s Sportshack Supplement Depot, a new concept by Opelousas native Benny Nele. Located at 2002 Johnston St., the supplement shop, smoothie bar and café, featuring hot off the press paninis and wraps, plans to open in late May.
