It was the biggest ever, and most vendors would agree it was the best. IND Media’s 16th Annual Bridal Show, held Feb. 24 at The Cajundome Convention Center, was a one-stop gathering to plan everything from wedding rings, photographer, attire and rehearsal dinner to reception and honeymoon. A great way to take the stress out of wedding planning, the show attracted 400 brides-to-be, which represents about $10 million in purchasing power based on the average cost of a wedding. Attendees sampled fare from caterers and bakers, and dozens of door prizes were given away. A runway style show featured the newest trends in wedding attire, and Paul’s Jewelry provided the grand prize for one lucky bride, Sasha Citizen: a Mikimoto cultured pearl necklace with matching pearl and diamond earrings.

Of course, it was for an even greater cause, as a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Louisiana chapter of the Leukemia/Lymphoma Foundation.

Mark your calendar for the 17th Annual Bridal Show: March 16, 2014.
