The Krewe of Triton celebrated its 35th year Saturday, March 1, in the Cajundome. King Triton XXXV, Dr. Fernando Alemany, and Queen Triton XXXV, Kyla Joy Lemaire, presided over the ball along with ball captain William Ritchey. This year’s theme, Let Freedom Ring, celebrated US history with floats parading through the Cajundome representing figures like Teddy Roosevelt, Betsy Ross, Rosie the Riveter and GI Joe. After the presentation, guests danced the night away to the sounds of Louisiana Red.
