SpringHill Suites’ beautiful new hotel on Settlers Trace Boulevard was the setting for the Pat Terry Visual Arts Endowed Scholarship Memorial Fundraiser.
On the eve of Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, LA Fête Lafayette 2011 staged an impressive fundraiser at Trynd to help Louisiana Cultural Economy Foundation provide health care access and economic development services for our state’s cultural ambassadors – musicians, chefs, filmmakers, crafts/visual artists. Rex Moroux dished out his own inimitable brand of Americana while New Orleans’ legend-in-the-making Kermit Ruffins demonstrated why he best embodies the spirit of Louis Armstrong.
