What a great job you did in your story of the horse farm ("Horse Play," Oct. 19). Not only is the farm the most beautiful thing in Lafayette, but the horse barn should also be researched. I heard that the barn architecture is not of the south but of the north, Wisconsin or thereabouts. It was supposedly built about 1907. It seems that the person in charge of building the barn was from the north hence the design. Wouldn't that make a great story if this barn is almost 100 years old? It could be placed on the National Register of Historic Barns or something. Please look into this, and keep up the good writing!
