On behalf of the Lafayette Public Library Board, administration and staff, we express thanks to Lafayette Parish voters for your overwhelming show of support in the successful passage of the library millage renewal.

Access to high quality library materials and patron-friendly library services continue to be uppermost in our minds as we proceed with the library building program. The North Regional Library is currently under construction in Carencro, with an anticipated opening in mid-2007; the future South Regional Library is beginning the bidding process; and East Regional Library is in the site search phase. Lafayette Parish citizens know their tax dollars will be maintaining not only what is but also providing for what will be. New books and reference resources, expanded DVD and audio collections, meeting and study rooms of varying sizes, drive-up window service, special areas for teens, more computers, and ample parking are a few of the amenities your tax dollars will provide.

Thank you for your continued support.
