THANKFUL FOR TALES

I wanted to take a moment and thank you for your article "Crawfish Tales" (June 1, 2005). My great-grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hebert. My great-mother is known as Mrs. Charles Hebert ' and not Anise Hollier Hebert ' but those were the times. I have heard stories of the Hebert Hotel and the Wild Cherry Saloon all of my life. I wish I had had the opportunity to know my great-grandparents. I have been lucky enough to inherit some of her cooking skills. Thanks again for the article. I wish I had seen it earlier. I am passing it onto other family members. We may be scattered all over the world, but the stories of Breaux Bridge, the Hebert Hotel and crawfish are things we truly cherish.
