PUBLIC VERSUS PRIVATE

The private schools get tax dollars from the public education system for textbooks, library books, transportation and other expenditure that only the deepest of the state accountants know what is happening. So let’s understand that up front. So now let’s compare on a fair basis. Let’s include the socioeconomics in private schools with other state comparisons.

Also the politicians, business people, and chamber of commerce members who can change our public schools have their children in private schools. They really do not care. They are paying lip service to this problem. So nothing is going to change.

Obviously the private schools are on welfare for textbooks, library books, transportation and other expenditures. There is no law against an actual private school not taking welfare and being sooo good that it empties the public schools. Funny how this has happened nowhere don't you think?

If they get money for books, then I wonder why my private school has increased their tution by hundreds every year for the past 10 yrs !?! Of course, I've noticed the # of employees has increased also, as the children of administrators & teachers get old enough to work..... This school raises hundreds of thousands of dollars every year in fund raisers, over $130,000 in just the "auction". I know what I'm in for in private school and I support transportation only. My tuition & fund raisers should pay for the books & supplies & technology. I even have to pay for a "building fee", technology fees, and it goes on and on. My particular school is spoiled rotten by the wealth of its students & intends to get rich too!
