I have been over here in Baton Rouge working away and quite out of the Lafayette loop. I had no idea what drama was unfolding over in Lafayette in regards to interior design. Quite honestly, it is about time! Bravo on your article "Against the Wall" (June 29). It is good to see all of the facts laid out on the table. I have been hearing about these issues since I started interior design at UL Lafayette in 1991 (and it's been going on much longer than that). Finally, thanks to The Independent Weekly, the facts are out. And written so boldly. Maybe now the interior design profession can flourish in Lafayette like it is in other metropolitan areas in the state.
