NOT THE LONE RANGER

The (public) Ecole Franco-Americaine at Audubon Montessori School in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans is decades old and teaches in French from kindergarten through the eighth grade. The Acadian culture may be proud of itself for its devotion to the spoken French language ("The French Connection," Aug. 9), but Acadiana is not the "Lone Ranger" in that educational venture.
