BACK ATCHA, CHARLIE

On behalf of the board, staff, and volunteers of both Hospice of Acadiana and the Hospice Foundation of Acadiana, we would like to extend to Charlie Goodson, his family and staff a public note of congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Charley G's Seafood Grill and a note of thanks for all of his support to our organizations.

As many people know, Charlie has been a mainstay on the entertainment and restaurant scene in Acadiana for many years. What many people do not know is that for many years he has prepared and delivered meals to our hospice patients on special occasions and holidays. Among the most memorable of those meals was the Valentine's Day dinner he served to a couple ' both advanced in age and both hospice patients ' at a local nursing home.

In addition, Charlie and one of his chefs have appeared annually on our annual Hospice TelEvent, and he never turns down a request from us for a donation for other fundraising events. Most recently, when the spotlight should shine on him, he turned his anniversary celebration on Aug. 14 into a benefit for Hospice of Acadiana.

Congratulations again to a true friend of hospice and best wishes for many more years in business.
