A state House committee has put the kibosh on another bill aimed at curbing or otherwise limiting local governments' use of red-light cameras to enforce traffic laws. WRNO radio out of New Orleans is reporting that the House Transportation Committee voted 8 to 7 this week to defer a proposal by an Algiers lawmaker that would prevent municipalities from issuing speeding citations for infractions 10 miles or less over the speed limit.
