[UPDATE: The Daily Advertiser’s publisher says all printing at its Bertrand Drive facility resumed Thursday. The headline on this story has been changed to reflect the updated information.]

Karen Lincoln, The Daily Advertiser’s president and publisher, confirms via email that the company’s Bertrand Drive press has been down for two days, resulting in no papers delivered Wednesday or Thursday. The reason for the delay is production issues, she writes. “Press has been down due to the water dampening system. We are not able to estimate delivery as of yet.”

Ouch.

A note posted on the paper’s website Wednesday, however, was much more optimistic about when delivery would resume:

Because of an equipment malfunction, some of our home-delivery customers did not receive today’s newspapers. We apologize for this inconvenience. Those subscribers who were affected will receive the Wednesday edition Thursday morning with their regular newspaper delivery.
