Does the country's fascination with all things Louisiana have no end?

The Governor’s Wife, a new reality show airing at the end of February, highlights the struggles 34-year-old Trina Edwards must encounter as the wife of 85-year-old former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards. The show, according to Entertainment Weekly, will follow the newly married couple’s relationship, as well as Trina’s encounters with her step-daughters, who are 62 and 60 years old. The colorful cast is completed with two exclamation marks: Trina’s teenage sons Logan and Trevor. Trina and the former governor were pen pals while Gov. Edwards was in prison and married after he was released in 2011.

The show’s official description:

“The series follows Trina as she attempts to fit into the former governor’s upscale world and busy social life while trying to get along with daughters twice her age and corral her teenage sons. Between school projects, running for president of the Homeowner’s Association, fending off skeptics who think she’s a gold digger, and thoughts of adding a baby of their own to the mix, the Edwards clan truly represent a new take on the modern family.”
Sounds like a rough life. The show premieres Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 10 p.m. on A&E. Read the original story here.
