WaPo: Boustany won’t challenge Landrieu

The Washington Post confirmed Monday and other media have now widely reported that Lafayette Republican Congressman Charles Boustany will not run for U.S. Senate in 2014 against incumbent Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu.

Boustany spokesman Neal Patel tells the D.C. daily, “Serving on the House Ways and Means Committee allows Congressman Boustany to focus on issues important to Louisiana ranging from trade, to comprehensive tax reform, to health care. He looks forward to continue representing South Louisiana on Capitol Hill.”

I think he made a wise decision. And, the people of South Louisiana get to keep a GREAT CONGRESSMAN!!
