WWL: Jeff Parish officials commandeer BP boats

Frustrated by the slow response to oil moving into Grand Isle, Jefferson Parish Emergency managers commandeered all of BP’s hired boats in Grand Isle, WWLTV reported Saturday:
A representative for Jefferson Parish Emergency chief Deano Bonano said they requested immediate action after oil moved into the marsh passes and onto the beaches in Grand Isle.
He said more than 40 boats were sitting idle while he watched the oil rush into the passes.
WWL noted that around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jefferson Councilman Chris Roberts confirmed the boats had been commandeered by JP emergency managers.

BP expertise is drilling wells, not containing oil well spills
and as in this case with a mile deep blow-out at the well-head entrance, BP is completely in the dark... So! We have an English based "OIL OPERATOR-BP, and "A DUTCH BASED DRILLING RIG COMPANY, TRANSOCEAN"...with an OIL WELL BLOW OUT, in American territorial waters. If the spill was off the English coast or off the Netherlands, these two companys would be squeeging the oil by hand from their shores.....instead BP is laying the blame on Transocean, and Transocean is putting the blame on Halliburton, this sounds more like a political scenario with each day............
