Vitter and Melancon on the attack

David Vitter and Charlie Melancon may still have primary elections ahead of them before their anticipated showdown in the November general election for U.S. Senate, but that isn't stopping them from squaring off against each other early. Following a common strategy of better-funded candidates to lure their opponents into spending money early, the Vitter campaign launched an anti-Melancon ad earlier this week. Titled "Parallel Universe," it goes after Melancon for supporting financial reform legislation and for his office account lease of a Chevy Tahoe. Today, Melancon  responded with an ad titled "The Worst," taking Vitter to task on women's issues. The ad argues the senator's notorious "serious sin" may not be as egregious as votes against equal pay, mammogram coverage, and the prolonged employment of former staffer Brent Furer, who was arrested for violently attacking his ex-girlfriend. See both ads below.

Oh, I just love, love, love Melancon's attack against Vitter's serious sin!!! Oh, how many people, including those in the news clips, would love to forget Vitter's whoremongering. Well I don't forget. That incident did it for me. Whoremongering, thieves, its all the same thing. Will never vote for Vitter again.
