PAR breaks down constitutional amendments

Perhaps the most amended state constitution in the United States faces more revisions when voters head to the polls Tuesday, and that’s after voters passed two amendments in October. From the timing of pay raises for elected public officials to the sale of expropriated properties, voters are being asked to weigh in on 10 more amendments to the Louisiana Constitution.

To help make the process more digestible, the non-partisan Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana has released a guide to the amendments, breaking them down and conveying them in plain English. Read the guide here, and make an informed vote on Tuesday.

Wishing that the guide would come up on my computer. Any guide to help voters understand the complicated language is greatly appreciated. Wishing this available in public publication.

Unfortunately, wishing, PAR's website seems to be down today (the worst possible day).
The non-partisan Council for a Better Louisiana also has a guide to the amendments with its recommendations. Access it at http://cabl.org/ and look in the "Latest News" box in the upper right of the home page.
