Crimiel also charged in Surrey Street vandalism

Two days after arresting 33-year-old Brian Crimiel for vandalizing St. James Baptist Church on Plum Street Feb. 13, the Lafayette Police Department also charged him in the defacement of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and School on Surrey Street over the weekend. Both churches were defaced with derogatory and racially-charged words.

brian_crimielCrimiel was charged Monday with hate crimes, obstruction of justice, criminal damage to property with graffiti, possession of marijuana and felony possession of a firearm in connection with Saturday’s church damages. Ind photographer Robin May attempted to photograph the destruction, but the racially-charged messages had been cleaned off the walls Saturday. Church personnel told investigators that the incident occurred some time between the hours of 6:30 p.m. Friday and early Saturday morning. Police responded Saturday at about 6:30 a.m. The suspect or suspects also left a threatening note; notes were left at St. James as well.

Crimiel was arrested Saturday after Lafayette PD and the FBI searched his residence. Initially charged only in the Plum Street incident, he was taken into custody without incident from his vehicle near the intersection of Lafayette and W. Congress streets. In that vandalism case, he was also charged with communication of false information of planned arson.

Both incidents remain under investigation.

How come no one is reporting that this guy - at least a guy with the exact same name and age - was charged with first degree murder in 2007 for the death of his then girlfriend's 8-month-old baby and DA Harson promised to seek the death penalty against him?
What happened to this case?
It appears the same man also has a contempt of court charge against him in Lafourche or Terrebonne Parish.
How come none of this is reported about him. His criminal history is revelant.

Okay...let me get this straight.

Black guy defaces Black churches with racial slurs to cause racial disharmony in the community.

This is traditional hate crimes in reverse...kinda like counter espionage.

Wonder if Crimiel is a lone community terroist or if there are others out there planning misinformation campaigns.

Cajun Hiker, Why do you insist on burdening our Parish DA, he has many fish to fry, and for your information all of the DA'S legal eagles are focusing their attention on bus driver "Mhire, and Politician appointee, (BLANCO'S) "Chris Williams, The shredders are in overdrive and the whiteout is depleted.
Hey, I wonder if the city of Crowley still has all the parish court records in little cardboard shoeboxes, DUH ?

The girlfriends baby he killed was my niece, my older sisters daughter. We miss Harmony more than we can bear, even after all these years. I still don't understand how he was able to walk the streets and to this to my best friends church. I am still in amazement
