So it's not silt after all

So it’s not silt after all. In the tangled matrix of damage control, disinformation and honest-to-God truth seeking, the oil spill reported on March 20 in the Gulf of Mexico (south of Grand Isle) was attributed to many things, including BP, a dredging operation near the mouth of the Mississippi and several neglected platforms.

It is now being reported that Anglo Suisse Offshore Partners — mentioned in a previous Independent Weekly blog on this subject — has released a statement confirming that its dormant well, which was being capped for permanent abandonment, was the source of the March 20 spill.

Read a quick rundown of events related to the spill here.

I would say on a well to be permanently capped, one would first insure the well is not flowing, a dead well with no formation feed into the well bore column which is to be capped does not have oil at the surface leaking into the gulf waters. So, " I'd say this is more of BP's ghost come back to haunt us.....
Bet you a C note to a Meche's donut, i'm on the square.
Hell, any Tugboat skipper could tell you where the oil is flowing from, thats a fact.
