EWE_smallIn what will likely be one of his first public appearances since being sprung from a federal detention center early this year, former Gov. Edwin Edwards will be the subject of a roast on Sept. 10 in the Cajundome Convention Center. The event, dubbed “Louisiana Man for Louisiana Music,” will serve as a fundraiser for the Acadiana Symphony and Conservatory of Music.

Part of the proceeds will be used to fund the Marion Edwards Children’s Educational Concert Series in honor of EWE’s brother.

Tickets to a private reception are $500 per person and will include a photo with the former Governor. General admission tickets for the dinner roast are $125. Call the ASO at 232-4277 to find our more, or log onto the symphony’s website. http://www.acadianasymphony.org/
