‘Caylee’ bill vowed for La.

A state senator incensed over the verdict in the Casey Anthony trial in Florida is vowing to prefile legislation that would make it a felony to fail to report the death of a child or to lie to investigators looking into a child’s disappearance, according to The Advocate.

Sen. A.G. Crowe, R-Slidell, has at least one considerable hurdle to clear before pursuing the legislation: He’ll need to get reelected this fall.

True--wouldn't not knowing where your child is for 31 days, not seeking, requesting or reporting the child missing for 31 days fall under some legal prescription pertaining to child abuse or abandonment resulting in body injury or death of your child? There has to be laws on the books providing a causal action against for such a situation.
