AP: Jindal sitting on $8.8 million kitty

Note to anyone looking to make Gov. Bobby Jindal a one-termer: Be prepared to spend. Big.

The Associated Press is reporting that our 40-year-old Republican governor has nearly $9 million in his campaign account with fewer than three months remaining before the October election. Jindal’s overwhelming wealth advantage could be a deterrent for any deep-pocketed competitors. Only north Louisiana school teacher Tara Hollis, a conservative Democrat, is currently in the race. Hollis, by contrast, recently reported having $953.21 in her campaign account, although she tells the AP she’s confident once she rolls out her campaign platform, the contributions will follow.

Kitty? Well, that's a big meow. Hollis has $953.21? She must be getting all the small donors.

She has just gotten started. She has actually raised $3,600 in less then two months. Tara Hollis is taking donations from citizens not special interest groups - isn’t that what everyone says they want? And she refuses to take out a loan to finance the campaign - in efforts to be fiscally responsible. All those that truly want a change should give her a chance - and donate!

Wonder where Bobby got all that money? Could there be a possible relationship between the "donations" and all the "business incentives" he brags about? Wonder how "transparent" is his list of donations as well as where the donations originated?

I vote to kick all current politicians out! All of congress should go to.

New life. New blood. This bickering among parties like some children has to stop!

An article published in the LAKE CHARLES newspaper indicates that Governor "Jingle" has received over 60% of his donations--for the last 3 months--from individuals and companies from outside the state of Louisiana. Something just "ain't" right with this type of funding. Why would people outside of Louisiana contribute to any candidate--incumbent or otherwise?
