I really like the 1p.m. time for the meeting. What it means is only people who work for the city=parish can attend. The rest of us have to work for a living you dumb asses!!! But, I know it is a waste to attend a durel dog @ pony show. Why no coverage on durel wanting to redirect speed van & traffic light camera monies?

1pm... AWESOME time to seek public input. All those dependent on government and the non-profits who line up at the taxpayer soup kitchen can attend.

Meanwhile, Joe Breaux working for XYZ Surveying or ABC Manufacturing will likely be working hard for his income, which a certain amount will be taken by government to give to the politios' favorite non-profit and vote-buying organizations.

So I read the budget for Parks & Rec is at a standstill, meaning basically it will have the same money as last year. I also read, to the effect, not a whole lot of NEW stuff will be done cause there's not extra money for that. The administration has been knocking around for a coupla yrs it wants a "special property tax" for Parks & Rec, which would generate MILLIONS for that dept and free up all that cash $$$$ to be spent elsewhere. JUST AS I DON'T WANT TO PAY MORE PROP TAXES FOR THE SCHOOL BOARD, I DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR PARKS & RECREATION!!!!! All the parks & recreation programs can continue without new taxes. DEAR TEA PARTY: KEEP AN EYE OUT ON THIS!
