Perry leads La. GOP

A recent poll by Washington, D.C.-based Wilson Perkins Allen Opinion Research finds Texas Gov. Rick Perry with an almost double-digit lead over his closest competitor among likely voters in the Louisiana Republican primary. Perry leads Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann 30 to 16 percent. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is a close third at 15 percent.

The field was rounded out by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (9 percent), U.S. Rep. Ron Paul (6), former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman (2), pizza magnate Herman Cain (2) and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum (1). Nineteen percent of respondents were unsure of their preference. Interestingly, the firm did not include former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer in the poll.

According WPA’s website, a random sample of 601 voters was polled Aug. 14-16. But the poll results were culled from a sub-sample of 183 registered Republicans. The margin for error, according to the firm, is a rather large one as polls go: plus or minus 7.2 percent.

Why can't Buddy Roemer get included? He'd wipe the floor with these idiots.

183 Respondents are the basis? Over 7% margin of error?

This is useless and should not be published....

For some reason I just think some huge scandal is going to arise with Perry. He seems like the type. Hopefully I am wrong.

Buddy Roemer is a moron who is trying to soak up as much publicity as possible. He and Edward Edwards are no longer in the game.

No no no, I find that hard to believe. He brought down Texas's education, raised taxes nearly double, put tolls on existing road, and said taking gardasel shot was good. No wonder Louisiana wants him, that's status quo for politicians here... Rick Perry was once Al Gore campaign manger in Texas. A vote for Perry is another vote continuing the globalist trend Clinton-Bush-Obama have set.

Ron Paul trumps Rick Perry

Perry, the guy who talked seriously about seceding from the Union? Did our ancestors fight and die for our nation so this clown could secede from the Union? Sounds treasonous to me.

Short of a major scandal or revelation, Perry will win not only Louisiana but practically all the red states simply because he looks a tad like Reagan. By the end, he will be walking talking and acting like Reagan as well. Now if he would select Sara Palin as his running mate, then it would truly be a blowout landslide. My question is what has Perry done to stop the flow of Mexicans into the US, at least on the Texas borders? This is who I will vote for - the person who convinces me they will make the illegal immigration issue top priority.
