Report: Jindal backing Alario for Senate prez

The Times-Picayune is reporting that Sen. John Alario, R-Westwego, has won the backing of Gov. Bobby Jindal in his bid to replace term-limited Sen. Joel Chaisson as Senate president. The newspaper says Alario, a 2010 convert from the Democratic Party who is seen by some as emblematic of Louisiana politics’ old guard, has informed fellow senators of Jindal’s backing, although Alario declined comment when contacted by the newspaper.

I can't believe Jindal would support this RINO, good old boy, professional politician. But then again, out Wonder Boy hasn't really done what he said he was going to do anyway.
