Where is Vince Pierre employed?

When ULL journalism professor Dr. Robert Buckman asked House District 44 candidate Vince Pierre’s campaign on Monday what Pierre “does for a living,” his campaign representative asserted before Monday’s candidate debate that Pierre is co-owner of a dry cleaning business. But a manager for Dry Clean Super Center, the dry cleaning company name listed on Pierre’s LinkedIn profile, says Pierre is not an owner or co-owner of the business, which could be why Pierre’s LinkedIn profile says he is no longer employed by the company.

Pierre’s professional networking profile lists Pierre as a managing partner for Dry Clean Super Center from July 2005 until March 2011, also listing his current employment as a land man for Beta Land Services. When reached by phone Thursday, a Beta Land Services employee said Pierre has not been employed there since Sept. 8 of this year.

Pierre, according to The Daily Advertiser’s coverage of a debate between him and incumbent District 44 state rep. Rickey Hardy, “hammered home” his business background as a means to trump Hardy’s qualifications, though his campaign rep was less than truthful to the debate moderator over his employment and business ties. Pierre has asserted since announcing his candicacy in June that he is, in fact, a co-owner of a dry cleaning business.

@neutral party, there is no Louisiana law that says you have to form a corporation to cut grass or paint houses. It's called being self-employed. Same as tree-cutters, barbers and a whole host of jobs. This assertion is idiotic and the Pierre group should know this, but they bank on fooling the simple-minded people of District 44 so that they can dip their peak in the wine of government dollars.

If you have a real job and you run for office, you have to take leave in order to conduct a successful campaign. If all you can say about a person is that you are clueless about where he is employed he sounds 100x better than Ricky Hardy to me. Ricky Hardy voted to not raise the MFP funding for education 3 years in a row. He refused money for the local school board because of a personal dispute with a school board employee to "get back" at that individual. Ricky Hardy is bad for the community and the district as a whole. The guy can not think for himself and it is proven by a consistent voting record with the administration. He want to remove due process for teachers and bus drivers which would be a disaster for public education. NO MORE PUPPETS FOR HD 44, this will be verified after Saturday, Nov.19. Enough Is Enough.

If Hardy is crooked, show me the indictment. So me the arrest record. Show me the resignation in disgrace. There's nothing there. He's not Slick Rick, he's Teflon Rick and nothing sticks.

Littel Vince"Wilfred" Pierre is just like his uncle, lieing , thief and will do anything to get in office. People District 44, lets keep Ricky in office so he can provide good, honest government.Chris Williams, Elroy Broussard, Wilfred Pierre represents what is wrong with our community and we need to let them know that their kind represents the past and we want better for community.

Theonly reason the black community is running Pierre is becaue he is Wilfred nephew. Wilfred did nothing but employ his family on government programs he got funded. If you want Chris William, Janelle to continue running down the black community then vote for Pierre. 50 years of Socail Programs and the blacks are worst off then they have ever been. Ricky is trying to clean up the mess, I hope he wins and continues the fight.

People face the facts. The only thing that increased since tricky ricky was in office were police patrol, drop out rate, crime, unemployment rate, and what is truly sad is that the higher percentages dwell in the same community where he lives. His priorities were not in alignment with his spoken principles.

Has anyone even bothered to look into Vincents long list of years spent with numerous charities? Time spent behind the scenes trying to help the needy with no public acknowledgement!!!!
