All in the family: Jindal beefs up staff

Gov. Bobby Jindal has appointed to key administration positions the brother and brother-in-law of his former chief of staff, according to The Advocate. Last week the governor’s office announced the appointment of Taylor Teepell as deputy legislative affairs director. Teepell is the brother of former staff chief Timmy Teepell, who left the administration recently to take a position with a Beltway political strategy firm. Jindal also appointed the erstwhile chief of staff’s brother-in-law, Matt Parker, as intergovernmental affairs director.

How about a few more details? What are their qualifications in terms of experience and education? Was a search done? Why are these positions being filled when most other state departments are under a hiring freeze? What is their pay? Were these new positions?

Timmy did not have ANY qualifications. Why would Jindal want qualifications? He wants loyalty and people who do not know what is going on right in front of their eyes.
