White gets super nod

John White, Gov. Bobby Jindal’s pick to oversee public education in Louisiana, has been approved as state superintendent by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education. Installing White as Superintendent makes as much sense as choosing a realtor to perform your gallbladder surgery. He doesn't have the credentials or the experience. What he does have is an explicit desire to guide public education funds into the hands of corporations. Watch for: complicated kick-back real estate deals, shoddy school construction, unqualified teachers, falsified attendance and grade records and more, if it goes in Louisiana like it's gone in other states.
