The Ragin' Cajuns football team isn't far away as the Crescent City awaits its arrival for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

When the Saints kick off at Dallas next Sunday, they will still be mathematically alive for the last NFC wild card berth, but also facing exceedingly long odds.

City-Parish President Joey Durel and his counterpart in Greenville, NC, Mayor Allen Thomas, are getting in the spirit of the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl with some “friendly” side wagers, as politicians are wont to do under such circumstances.
