Terrance Broadway threw two touchdown passes and ran for two scores to help Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns beat Troy 41-36 on Thursday night for its seventh straight victory.

The Saints have risen from 31st to fifth in scoring defense, and they're just one takeaway shy of the 16 the Cowboys had last season.

Jonathan Vilma's season is over and his future on the football field is in doubt.

New Orleans (6-2) has dropped two of three games, while the Panthers (5-3) have won four straight to pull within a game of the Saints, whom they'll play twice in December.

So it's not the "Game of the Century," or maybe even the game of the week. But No. 1 Alabama versus No. 10 LSU is still a made-for-prime-time matchup.
