The Ragin’ Cajuns football team picked up the most first place votes in a poll of the Sun Belt Conference’s coaches. With four coaches picking the Cajuns to win the Sun Belt in 2013, that’s half the top brass liking the Cajuns' chances.

At this point, no one can really say how much for the former NBA rookie of the year will play at either small forward, shooting guard or point guard for the Pelicans — only that he'll probably take turns playing all three.

Suspended LSU running back Jeremy Hill has pleaded guilty to simple battery in connection with a bar fight in April.

The Pelicans did not release terms of Stiemsma's deal. However, a people familiar with the situation told The Associated Press that Stiemsma got a one-year deal worth $2.7 million.

The matter has put Hill's 2013 season in doubt because LSU's leading rusher last season is already on probation stemming from his 2012 plea of misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
