When Texas safety Kenny Vaccaro visited with the New Orleans Saints in the lead up to the NFL draft, and talked with new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan over lunch, he left sensing he'd be back before long.

The 33-year-old player did so not from an office building but from Machu Picchu, Peru, where he signed the contract Monday.

The 6-foot, 222-pound Ivory joined the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Tiffin (Ohio) in 2010 and has run the ball 256 times for 1,307 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry.

The schedule, released by the league on Thursday night, features a Monday night home game against Miami on Sept. 30 and a Sunday night home game against Dallas on Nov. 10.

In one memorable moment Wednesday, 13 years of bitterness were washed away when Yvette Girouard returned to UL's Lamson Park and reunited a couple of generations of Cajun fans.
