A cool snap makes it seem more like football season at the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, where UL's Ragin' Cajuns will find a way for last year's bowl MVP to see action.

"I'd be shocked if he wasn't here next year," quarterback Drew Brees said after practice on Wednesday. "I have not even thought for a second that he wouldn't be here, honestly. Not even thought for a second."

After player events dominated the first two days of R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl activities, the UL fans get their turn for some bowl action beginning Thursday evening.

The Ragin' Cajuns' first on-site practice for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl was a spirited affair, even though they weren't inside the Superdome. They'll get that opportunity Thursday.

The Cajuns' second straight appearance in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl has generated record ticket sales, and a significant economic impact both for the Crescent City and the UL program.
