Gerald Breaux’s three decades as executive director of the Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission were celebrated with a dinner reception and roast at the Lafayette Hilton. Sponsored by Graham Group, Haynie and Assoc., Miles Media, Bon Temps magazine and Garret Insurance, the event included roasts by Newt Collinson, Will Mangham, Frank Randol and Marion Fox and was emceed by Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne. It was a fitting tribute to Breaux’s dedication and successful efforts to put — and keep — Lafayette on the map for tourists traveling from destinations worldwide.
