Guests gathered at The Victorian for Richard Young’s annual Christmas fête. This year the Event Rental chief filled a tent behind his events venue in Broussard with an eclectic mix of guests and a nod to all things drag with a drag racing theme. The tent of black and white décor and an always rocking Molly Ringwalds included a surprise guest who brought a roar through the crowd (and a few gasps as well). When the Ringwalds took a break, the real performance began with a raucous song and dance from drag queen “Athena.”
While the entertainment was daring, we were busy checking out the daring dressers of the evening. Gents who bucked the black and white theme were chief among them. Stephen Barker in vibrant pink and Jeremy Broussard in red pants topped the list. We saw some fabulous ladies in black — including Katie Meaux. And some lovely ones in white — including Victoria Toups. And our favorites were those who wore black and white like Christina Barbier and Nandi Lindscombe, proving there was nothing drag about this drag race.
