Fashion Feature in The Independent: Theme: STEAMPUNK

Steampunk: A modern take on steam power period fashion, Steampunk mixes fashion reminiscent of the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras with science fiction-esque accessories. It’s where old world charm meets new school hip. Call it NeoVictorian. Call it Jane Austen meets H.G. Wells. Just don’t call it conventional.

This.. is not steampunk. I don't know what this is, but it is absolutely God aweful. I would never wear this, nor do I know anyone who would. Being a fan of the true style, it actually kind of hurts to look at this. And the "models" or whatever you want to call them, look as if they have no idea what they are doing. This is not fashion, this is throw up. Better luck next time.

The hairstyles and clothes are representative of the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian time periods. The hairstyles truly reflect this era. Congratulations to all who worked on this project. Great job.

One of the models is a small town girl with a a great sense of humor and a gentle spirit. How thrilling that her marvelous height and striking features have led her into modeling, regardless of the style of clothing. The good news, Goo, is that YOU don't HAVE to wear this clothing if you choose not to. If it hurts you, don't look. If you can't say something kind, don't say anything at all. Take your style expertise and obviously superior taste elsewhere so that you can be better appreciated.

I don't care what Goo says, I liked it. Sure, it's over the top and almost no one would wear this daily. Heck, I would never wear it but so what. Besides the building was great. Where is it? A sugar mill?
