Lafayette’s red light cameras will keep clicking, as a House committee yesterday voted down a bill that would prohibit local governments from using red light cameras to issue traffic citations.

House Bill 480 by New Orleans Democratic Reps. Cedric Richmond and Jeff Arnold is dead by a 9-7 vote unless the duo manages a second hearing and another vote on the ban in the House Committee on Transportation, Highways and Public Works.
